What is The Upstage?

The award-winning Upstage is THE PLACE to enjoy Live Entertainment.

As seen on public television and heard on National Public Radio, The Upstage hosts acts ranging from Blues to Jazz to Boogie Woogie, from Salsa to Tango and Swing, World Music, and Folk and Ethnic ensembles in addition to community events. While Upstage awaits relocation it is using several interim venues. Please call 360-385-2216 for show information.

The Upstage is the home of quality entertainment in all performance genres. Programming includes a fine blend of local, regional, national and international acts, as well as youth and community events.

For many years, The Upstage was located in Port Townsend’s historic district. Due to issues surrounding building renovation, we’re working towards a new home on the Olympic Peninsula. We’ve created this site to keep fans and patrons up to date on the news surrounding our relocation and of course our latest Upstage sponsored events.

Who plays at Upstage? Programming is eclectic and includes a wide array of local, national, and international performing artists. To name a few of hundreds renowned, try Johnny Winter, Ray Manzarek of The Doors, John Clayton, George Cables, Pinetop Perkins, Commander Cody, the original Blues Brother Curtis Salgado, Marcia Ball, Entertainers of the Year Tommy Castro and Janiva Magness, Maria Muldaur, Duke Robillard, John Hammond, Steep Canyon Rangers, on and on. Also enjoy poets, comedians, dancers, cultural icons, as well as ethnic gatherings ranging from South America to the Balkans and the Orient. Last but not least, we support the joy of youth and present the entertainers of tomorrow.

What’s Up? Keep in touch! Thank you.
